Occupational therapists (OTs) bring a unique ability to address the complex interaction of psychosocial, physical, and emotional skills, assisting clients with critical life skills for independent living.
Registered Dietitians translate the science of nutrition into healthy food choices for clients, and use their expertise in the treatment and prevention of nutrition-related disorders. Physiotherapists are specially educated to assess and improve movement and function and relieve pain, to promote optimum health and functioning. Social workers are trained to mediate the complex interactions between the individual and his/her environment, family dynamics, and functioning, and to develop strategies to enhance coping.
SLPs have specific knowledge and skills in human communication, oral motor, and swallowing disorders. |
